Early College at UIW for High School Students
Accelerate Your Pathway From High School to College
The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Early College Program provides current high school students with the opportunity to enroll in UIW courses and earn college credit while in high school. Students can attend classes on the UIW main campus or online. Students enrolled in the Early College program are invited to participate in on-campus activities and attend sporting events. Early College enrollment is available for current high school students, including homeschooled students.

Enrollment Forms
Students who are approved to enroll in courses will meet the following requirements:
- Successful completion of two high school credits in each of the core subject areas - Mathematics, English, Social Science and Science
- Minimum 3.5 high school GPA
- Current meningitis vaccination is required to attend classes on campus
- Approval from the student's high school
- Demonstrate college readiness with one of the following assessments:
- TSIA 2 Ready: >945 ELAR; >950 (for college mathematics)
- PSAT: >480 EBRW; >550 Math (for college mathematics)
- SAT: >500 EBRW; >550 Math (for college mathematics)
- ACT: >36 English + Reading: >22 Math (for college mathematics)
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 college GPA to progress through the program
